At breakfast time, I struggle to know what to eat with the Lactagen mix. Although the Lactagen program does not say I can't have yogurt or lactose free milk for breakfast, I almost feel like that is cheating. I suppose I can always call the toll free number and check with them if I am really concerned.
Today's dosages
Breakfast - 3.75 cc of Lactagen mix with 6 ounces of apple juice
Dinner - 20 cc of Lactagen mix with 6 ounces of white grape, peach, apple juice. The mix almost seemed to sweeten that up a bit to the point where it was sweeter than I prefer. I'll have to try it with cranberry juice one of these days.
As far as food today, I ate:
Whole wheat pancakes
BBQ Chicken Chunks
Fresh Raspberries
Chicken Strips (yes, it was a chicken-heavy day)
Green grapes
Peach sorbet
If you're new to reading this blog, and this is the first page you're reading, this is the Lactagen program. It's designed to train you large intestines to produce micro flora that will break down lactose, since your smaller intestines are no longer producing the lactase enzyme effectively. The great question is, will it cure my lactose intolerance?
